On Monday, January 16th, we celebrate and honor the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. by participating in the National Day of Service.
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, "What are you doing for others?"
A question King asked to an audience in Montgomery, Alabama in 1957.
To honor his life, legacy, and commitment to others the volunteers of the Norwin/Penn Trafford Democrats will be collecting items for the following areas of need:

These are the items most requested
Paper products: towels, toilet paper and facial tissues
laundry detergent
dish detergent
all types of cleaning products
personal hygiene products for men and women: deodorant, bar soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes, body lotion, pads, tampons, depends/bladder protections
coffee, sugar, non dairy creamer
non perishable food
undergarments for both men and women
new or gently used: towels, sheets, blankets, pillows
new or gently used outerwear such as sweatpants and
sweatshirts
dog food( sometimes the only companion to the homeless is their pet.

The Norwin/PT Dems will not be accepting monetary donations for this MLK week of giving.
Please deliver the items you are donating to Katie's house at the side door entrance on the table at 1441 Guffey Road any time between Saturday, January 14 through-Saturday 21 or you can drop off the items in the lobby of the Norwin Public Library.
Let's give to those who have little so they may have some basic comfort and dignity in their struggle to survive in a society that seldom notices they exist.
