Over 75% of Trump’s proposed discretionary budget goes to the Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security, with increases of 15% and 65% respectively. Meanwhile, programs that actually support people are facing devastating cuts:

•                     Affordable housing: slashed by 44%

•                     Public education: cut by 15%

•                     Food assistance: down by at least 30%

•                     Environmental protection: gutted by 54%

•                     Medical research: reduced by 26%

•                     Farm support: cut by 18%

Trump talks endlessly about government waste, yet the Pentagon — which has failed seven consecutive audits — gets a blank check. If he really wanted to save taxpayers money, he’d start there, not by attacking programs that keep people housed, fed, and healthy.

The truth? Trump’s budget is designed to fund tax breaks for corporations and his billionaire cronies –  paid for by slashing Medicaid, SNAP, and even cancer research. He’s telling millions of Americans: your health, your food, your future don’t matter. Only his rich donors do.

This budget doesn’t just fail working people — it targets them. It reflects Trump’s values, and they are deeply out of touch with the needs of our communities.
