What MAGA Really Means by “Constitutional Order”: Obedience, Not Law

When MAGA Republicans invoke “constitutional order,” they claim to defend America’s founding principles. Their actions say otherwise.

Project 2025 is MAGA’s ideological foundation, an unquestionable doctrine where loyalty to a leader eclipses loyalty to the Constitution itself. And It conveniently aligns with the interests of a new economic elite like Larry Ellison and Peter Thiel, who gain from a system that concentrates authority and weakens public accountability.

Yet even within the so called “Mandate for Leadership” lies a striking contradiction that MAGA Republicans are eager to ignore: “Above all, the President and those who serve under him or her must be committed to the Constitution and the rule of law… the President is there to uphold the Constitution, not the other way around.”

This is the part MAGA leaders skip because it’s inconsistent with their drive for economic dominance over low- and middle-income Americans. The economic elite, the billionaire class, benefits from this inversion and actively reinforces it.

MAGA’s selective reverence for Project 2025 exposes a movement more invested in consolidating economic power than in honoring the constitutional limits they claim to champion.
