When Reality Doesn’t Fit the Narrative: ICE, False Claims & Political Hypocrisy

After the murder of Alex Pretti by masked federal agents, PA Senator Dave McCormck's claim that “assaults on ICE officers are up 1,347 %” is not grounded in credible reporting by Trump’s DOJ and DHS. It’s a cynical attempt to make ICE agents the victims, to distract from the documented and illegal use of force by federal agents. ICE agents are not the victims of violence; they are the perpetrators.
And he’s not alone. Rather than demanding accountability, they fall back on tired law-and-order talking points and invented stats to paint protesters as violent extremists. Meanwhile defending an agency mired in secrecy, questionable tactics, and ever-expanding powers.
If these self-styled defenders of truth actually cared about consistency, they’d call out abuses wherever they occur, even when it’s their own team doing the shooting. Instead, we get hypocrisy wrapped in hollow “support law enforcement” slogans.
