Community Service

Below is a list of organizations that work to benefit our community and rely on volunteers to accomplish their goals.

When you volunteer, you're giving the gift of time, our most precious commodity. It is truly an act of selflessness and compassion that benefits not only those in our community but brings out the best in US.

  • Friends of Norwin Trails: They need volunteers to help maintain Braddock's Trail Park on Robbins Station Road. For more information visit https://www.norwintrails.org  or follow Friends of Norwin Trail, Inc on Facebook.

  • Blessed Bundles Diaper Distribution: The third Saturday of every month at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior on 1570 ClayPike from 9am to 1:30pm. Volunteers are needed for sorting and folding. For more information contact Barb Pergar at 724-382-4839 or text 412-400-9515.

  • 9th Street Food Kitchen: Every Thursday a full dinner is provided for struggling residents of downtown McKeesport. They usually feed from 70 to 100 people weekly. All food is provided through many donations. Giant Eagle donates all of the desserts (cakes, pies, cookies-day old etc.) Volunteers spend all day Thursday preparing the dinners.
