A new Axis of Evil is forming – Russia, North Korea, and China. But under Trump, the question is no longer whether we stand against them; it’s whether we’re becoming one of them. Trump has echoed Putin’s land grab in Ukraine and the territorial ambitions of China and North Korea, by calling for the U.S. annexation of Greenland, seizing the Panama Canal by force, and sending troops into Mexico.
Trump has sent clear signals to autocrats worldwide that the U.S. may no longer stand for global security. At the Munich Security Conference, J.D. Vance went so far as to question whether Europe’s values were even worth defending. But then met with the neo-nazi leader of Germany’s far-right AfD party.
Former Fox News host and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth told NATO allies that America was effectively abandoning its leadership role. The message? Our allies are on their own – an invitation for Russia, North Korea, and China to act unchecked.
Meanwhile, U.S. and Russian diplomats met in Saudi Arabia to discuss improving relations, economic cooperation and, disturbingly, the potential giveaway of Ukraine. If America rewards Putin’s aggression, what’s stopping Xi from invading Taiwan?
For decades, the U.S. has championed democracy, stability, and territorial integrity. Abandoning our allies and cozying up to dictators marks a dangerous shift – one that aligns us with the very regimes we once stood against.
The question remains: Will America stand for freedom, or will we become part of the new Axis of Evil?
