Even right-wing Republicans are afraid of Trump’s economic plan

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.” H.L. Mencken (American journalist)

The common people decided and will see soon enough what Mencken meant when Trump rolls out his economic plan.

Right-wing think tanks like the American Enterprise Institute warns that “our economy will be in for some very rough sledding over the next four years.”[1] So, how bad must it be when even the far right is afraid of the Trump economic plan? Very bad.

Trump has promised budget deep tax cuts and tariffs on virtually everything coming into the country.[2]

Trump’s tax cuts will result in a combined $16 trillion deficit by the end of his second term in office.[3],[4] New tariffs on a massive scale (a national sales tax) will cause an immediate spike in inflation.[5],[6]

To quote Randy Bachman “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet” as the U.S. economy becomes unsustainable for the common people who voted for Trump.[7]

Maybe Trump will back off from some of his economic policies, but probably not. If not, we’re looking eventual return of the bond vigilantes, a flight from the US dollar, and some very rough economic times for the common people.

Elon Musk asked the common people to prepare for economic hardships.[8] It’s not hyperbolic rhetoric – it’s a statement of fact.

Trump will give the common people want they want – good and hard.
